In line with Fife Sports and Leisure Trust’s (FSLT) overall commitment to improve life condition of the people in Fife, the Trust has established a self-funded Health and Physical Activity Team whose role is to:

- Raise awareness of the benefits of physical activity

- Develop health improvement programmes within sport and leisure facilities and in local communities

- Further develop work with key partners and health professionals

- Identify and develop opportunities to work in partnership with Fife Council, NHS Fife and other organisations to support and deliver local and national initiatives

The Health and Physical Activity Team deliver services which have a long term beneficial impact on local communities and are involved in organising and supporting a range of programmes aimed at promoting recovery or encouraging more active lifestyle options as a preventative approach to reducing the prevalence of health risks brought about by physical inactivity.
