Fife Sports and Leisure Trust Adds 20 New Fitness Classes Across Venues



As part of our exciting group fitness refresh, we’re adding 20 brand-new classes across our venues, increasing our total weekly sessions from 340 to 360. That’s 360 opportunities every week to move your body, boost your energy, and do something amazing for your health and wellbeing!
What’s New
We’ve been working hard behind the scenes to bring fresh formats, fan-favourite returns, and exciting new experiences to your local leisure centre. Here’s just a taste of what you’ll find on the timetable:
Michael Woods Leisure Centre
- Kettlebells – A strength and conditioning class that uses dynamic kettlebell movements to build power, endurance, and stability. The workout targets multiple muscle groups with swings, lifts, and presses that challenge both body and mind. It’s efficient, effective, and adaptable for all fitness levels!

Kirkcaldy Leisure Centre
- Ladies Learn to Lift – Always wanted to try strength training but not sure where to start? This beginner-friendly Friday session is the perfect place to build confidence and technique.
“This class is all about building strength from the ground up. We focus on technique, confidence, and creating a space where everyone feels empowered to lift, no experience needed!” – Rachel Lawson, Fitness Instructor
- Hydrocycle – A high-energy cycling class… in the pool! Low-impact on joints, high-impact on results. Perfect for cardio lovers looking for something a bit different.

Carnegie Leisure Centre:
- HYROX – Mondays just got motivational. Join us bright and early to kick off your week. Eight workout stations are completed back-to-back with 1km runs in-between, the result is an intense, full-body challenge!

- HYROX Recovery Yoga – Designed to support performance and recovery, this Thursday night class blends mobility, flexibility, and calm to help you feel your best.
“This class is perfect for anyone who trains hard and wants to recover smarter. We focus on recovery with mobility, flexibility, and increasing range of movement ideal for resetting the body and mind for your next HYROX session.” – Bella Roylance, Fitness Instructor
- Musical Theatre Fitness – We are delighted to introduce Musical Theatre Fitness at more venues! This is a high-energy workout class that blends dance, cardio, and theatrical flair, all set to show-stopping Broadway tunes. Participants get fit while channelling their inner performer, learning choreography inspired by classic and contemporary musicals.

Levenmouth Swimming Pool & Sports Centre:
- Musical Theatre Fitness – We are delighted to introduce Musical Theatre Fitness at more venues! East Sands Leisure Centre:
- Chair Yoga – A gentle, accessible form of yoga practiced while seated or using a chair for support, making it perfect for all ages and abilities. The class focuses on breath, flexibility, and mindful movement to promote balance, relaxation, and overall wellbeing.

- Sunday Bootcamp – A high-intensity, full-body workout designed to kick off your week with strength, energy, and focus. This class was added after customer requests for a weekend session that challenges both body and mind. It combines strength circuits, cardio bursts, and team motivation.

- Saturday Pilates – Pilates is a low-impact practice designed to strengthen your core, improve posture, and build balanced flexibility. With mindful, controlled movements, it enhances body awareness and functional strength. Suitable for all levels, Pilates supports both everyday wellness and athletic performance

Dalgety Bay Leisure Centre:
- Sunday Bootcamp – A high-intensity, full-body workout designed to kick off your week with strength, energy, and focus. This class was added after customer requests for a weekend session that challenges both body and mind. It combines strength circuits, cardio bursts, and team motivation.

Duloch Leisure Centre:
- Pound – A full-body cardio jam session that combines drumming with Pilates-inspired movements for a workout that’s as fun as it is fierce. Using lightly weighted Ripstix®, participants rock out to the beat while sculpting muscle, boosting endurance, and relieving stress.

Beacon Leisure Centre:
- Qi Gong – Looking for a slower, more meditative way to move? This ancient practice of flowing movement and breathwork now features on our timetable. A perfect way to start the day.
“Qi Gong is a beautiful way to reconnect with your breath, your body, and your focus. It’s calming, mindful, and leaves you feeling centred for the day ahead.” –Paula Wardrop, Fitness Instructor
New Session Across Various Venues…
- Yoga – We’re also introducing more yoga sessions at venues across Fife to help you stretch, restore, and recharge. Whether you’re new to the mat or a seasoned yogi, there’s a session with your name on it.
- Musical Theatre Fitness – Take centre stage with our expanded Musical Theatre Fitness classes, now available at even more venues! This upbeat, feel-good workout fuses dance, cardio, and showbiz sparkle, all set to iconic numbers from the West End and Broadway. You’ll learn fun routines inspired by your favourite musicals while boosting your fitness in a welcoming, high-energy environment.
How to Book
All new classes will be available to book 8 days in advance, giving you plenty of time to plan your week and lock in your favourites. Keep an eye on our website for updates, session times, and venue-specific class information.
