We understand that life can get busy, and sometimes you need to take a break. That’s why we’re happy to offer our members the option to pause their membership for up to 6 months if circumstances change. This way, you can pick up right where you left off when you’re ready to return. To pause, please email direct.debit@fifeleisure.org.uk with your: 

  • Full Name
  • Membership Number
  • Dates you would like to pause 
  • Reason for pause

*Please note, pause requests received after the 20th of the month cannot be processed until after the 1st of the following month.

Cancel My Membership

If you’ve explored the above options and still wish to cancel, please proceed to the cancellation form below. We’re grateful for the time you’ve spent with us and hope to welcome you back in the future. Before cancelling, please make sure to read our membership terms and conditions.

To cancel your membership, you must provide a one-month notice. Once we have processed your request, we will send you a confirmation through your preferred method of communication. Please ensure that your contact details are up to date to receive our confirmation.

Here’s an example to help you understand how the notice period works: If you decide to cancel or pause your membership after 1st April, your one-month notice period will start on 1st May. Consequently, your membership will end or be paused on 31st May. Your final payment will cover the month of May.

How can I pause my membership?

To pause your membership, please email us at direct.debits@fifeleisure.org.uk with your full name, membership number, the dates you wish to pause, and the reason for the pause. Please note, requests received after the 20th of the month will be processed after the 1st of the following month.

Can I pause my membership for any reason?

You can pause your membership for up to 6 months for various reasons including medical issues, redundancy, or any other significant changes in your circumstances. The minimum period is 2 months.

What should I do if I’m experiencing financial difficulties?

If you’re having trouble with payments, please contact our sales team at sales@fifeleisure.org.uk. We may be able to offer alternative membership options or other solutions to help you maintain your membership.

Who can I contact for health-related concerns?

What membership discount options are available?

We offer Concession Membership for seniors, individuals receiving benefits, and those with disabilities, as well as Student Membership for full-time students. Both options provide access to our facilities at discounted rates.

How do I cancel my membership?

I’ve changed my mind. How can I resume my membership?

We’re happy to help get your membership reactivated. Simply visit your nearest venue. They can easily restore your membership and set up a new direct debit payment plan. This will ensure you don’t miss out on any of the perks and benefits of membership.

Why do I need to follow the membership cancellation policy if I’ve cancelled my direct debit with my bank?

Please note that cancelling your direct debit with the bank does not automatically terminate your membership. To ensure your membership is properly cancelled and to avoid any further charges, please follow our cancellation procedure. According to the terms of your membership agreement, there is a one-month notice period. To cancel your membership, simply email us, and we will send you a confirmation to acknowledge your request and confirm the cancellation.

Can I cancel my membership within 14 days of joining, will I get a refund?

You have the right to cancel your membership within 14 days of joining, known as the 14-day cooling-off period. If you cancel within this period, you will receive a refund. However, please note that you will be charged for any usage of the facilities or services during the 14-day period, and this amount will be deducted from your refund.

What happens if I want to cancel after the 14-day cooling-off period?

After the 14-day cooling-off period, you can cancel your membership by giving us one full calendar month’s notice. Once we have processed your request, we will send you a confirmation through your preferred method of communication.

Can I get a refund for an unused membership?

We do not provide refunds for unused memberships. This policy helps us maintain fairness and consistency for all members.
