Celebrate International Women’s Day 2024 with Our Inspiring Fitness Instructors
Happy International Women’s Day! This year’s campaign theme is ‘Inspire Inclusion’, emphasizing the importance of valuing and understanding women’s inclusion for a better world.
We take pride in being part of a supportive community of women shaping the fitness industry, inspiring others, and positively impacting those around them.
To celebrate this day, we caught up with Debbie Young, one of our long-standing group fitness instructors, who has inspired many on their journey towards a healthier lifestyle.
“I have been teaching Group Fitness Classes for over 20 years and have delivered a mix of activities, including Aerobics, Combat, Body Pump, Aqua classes, Group Cycling and more. The list goes on!
To know you are part of someone’s journey to help them become healthier, happier, and constantly motivated to book into my classes every week and every month gives me a feeling of satisfaction.
I take pride in knowing that the music, moves, class structure, group, atmosphere, laughs, smiles, and high fives are all signs of my students feeling great. As a fitness instructor, I am always here to lend a shoulder to cry on, an ear to listen to, and to share my knowledge on exercise dos and don’ts.
When we are in class, we all move in the same direction, sing the same song, and work together to achieve that feeling of happiness and stress relief. Life can be challenging, but hearing positive feedback from participants about how I inspire them and deliver fantastic workouts with a smile makes my job even more rewarding.
So, let’s continue to move and enjoy our favourite music. Let’s be proud of our progress and stay happy. To all the ladies out there, and anyone looking to become more active, I’ve got your back!”
