Charitable trust re-launches online fitness sessions following Level 3 restrictions
We are helping local communities keep active and enjoy the health and wellbeing benefits of physical activity despite Fife’s move into Level 3 restrictions.
In keeping with the Scottish Government’s announcement regarding protocols to be followed in relation to the spread and containment of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) in Level 3 local protection measures, we are not able to provide indoor group exercise classes or sports for adults.
The restriction to indoor fitness classes, including our self-funded health and wellbeing programme which supports people living with long-term conditions, adult swimming lessons and indoor sports such as racquet sports, unless both players are from the same household, came into effect last week. The measure will be in place until Scottish Government advice states that it is appropriate for adult indoor group exercise and sports to resume.
Now, we have re-launched our popular free live-streamed fitness sessions which were enjoyed by people across Fife, nationally and internationally during the lockdown in March.

Our fitness instructors are currently delivering around 15 live classes per week, including Pilates, HIIT Step, Senior Flex, BodyBalance offering people of all abilities, from beginners to those with more experience, the chance to get active at home.
Evelyn Crichton, Health and Fitness co-ordinator, said: “We had a fantastic response to our online sessions during lockdown – we had people of all ages and abilities taking part with fitness instructors they know and the feedback was overwhelming positive.
“So we are very pleased to be re-launching our online fitness programme not only for our regular fitness class participants, but anyone who would like to increase their physical activity so that they enjoy the benefits of getting active.”
