Coming soon: a new gym at Kirkcaldy Leisure Centre

This autumn we’re transforming the gym at Kirkcaldy Leisure Centre into a modern, premium fitness space designed to help you train effectively and achieve your goals.

The project includes a full refurbishment of the gym and the installation of brand-new equipment.

The refurbished gym will build on the high-specification environments already enjoyed by customers at our Glenrothes and Cowdenbeath facilities, creating one of Fife’s leading fitness destinations.

We are currently working hard to finalise the programme of works.  The gym at Kirkcaldy Leisure Centre is expected to be temporarily closed from 17th October and expected to re-open on 7th November 2026 (opening date subject to change).

The upgraded gym will feature:

• Brand-new Life Fitness and Hammer Strength equipment
• Enhanced strength training areas
• Dedicated functional fitness zones
• Bespoke squat racks
• Specialist gym flooring
• Improved lighting throughout
• A refreshed, contemporary design and layout

The space will offer an improved member experience from the moment you arrive until the end of your workout.

What this means for our gym customers

To allow the refurbishment to take place, the gym will temporarily close for a short period. Other facilities within Kirkcaldy Leisure Centre, including the swimming pool, will remain open as normal. We’ll publicise closure dates through this web page, social media, emails to customers and information on site.

We encourage customers to make full use of our wider network of venues during the temporary gym closure.

Membership gives you more choice

All our Club members can access any Fife Sports and Leisure Trust gym during the refurbishment period.
