Coming soon: a new gym at Leven Leisure Centre

We’re investing in a brand-new gym experience at Leven Leisure Centre, creating a modern, innovative fitness space designed to help you achieve your health and fitness goals.

The project will deliver industry-leading equipment, improved strength and functional training spaces, enhanced layouts and upgraded finishes, giving customers an even better place to train, exercise and stay active.

The refurbished gym will deliver a similar experience to the high-specification environment already enjoyed by gym customers at our Glenrothes and Cowdenbeath.

We are currently working hard to finalise the programme of works.  The gym at Leven Leisure Centre is expected to be temporarily closed from 31^st October 2026 and expected to re-open on November 21^st  (opening date subject to change).

We will publish updates on this page and across our social media channels.

What’s included

The Leven refurbishment will deliver:

• A full gym refurbishment and reconfiguration
• Leven’s first dedicated strength training zone, including Indigo Fitness squat racks
• New Hammer Strength resistance machines, alongside Life Fitness cardio equipment, with interactive digital screens.

There will also be new flooring, as well as enhanced LED lighting, mirrors and finishes.

What this means for our gym customers

To allow the refurbishment to take place, the gym will temporarily close for a short period. Other facilities within Leven Leisure Centre, including the swimming pool, will remain open as normal. We’ll publicise closure dates through this web page, social media, emails to customers and information on site.

We encourage customers to make full use of our wider network of venues during the temporary gym closure.

Membership gives you more choice

All our Club members can access any Fife Sports and Leisure Trust gym during the refurbishment period.

Please note that facilities and operating hours vary between venues.
