A revamped gym is being unveiled in Cowdenbeath with the local community set to benefit from a range of upgraded gym equipment.

As part of our £1.1 million investment to refit  11 of  our gyms across the region, Cowdenbeath Leisure Centre is the welcoming customers to its new-look gym. Now, locals have a wide range of high-quality facilities and a host of affordable opportunities to get active.

As a charitable trust, which has consistent growth in attendances since its launch in 2008, we see investing in industry-leading equipment as key to delivering on our commitment to improving customer experience.

Gym manager for Fife Sports and Leisure Trust, Stuart Bizzarri, explains the strategy behind the layout and choice of equipment in the gym at Cowdenbeath Leisure Centre, he said: “The gym has undergone a gym upgrade, with new equipment installed based on customer feedback and the latest industry research on the most effective equipment to get the most out of your time in the gym.

“The extensive upgrade sees a full equipment-replacement programme selected from industry leaders, Technogym and Origin Fitness. With Technogym’s SkillRow, Climb and Run 600 providing the latest exercise programs. Origin Fitness half racks and SPARC trainer and Concept II Ski Erg’s offer safe strength training as well as effective High Intensity Interval Training. And, we have reinstalled Technogym’s Smith Machine following feedback from our gym customers.”
