Cupar’s gym-goers treated to industry’s best
A revamped gym is being unveiled in Cupar with the local community set to benefit from a range of upgraded gym equipment.
As part of our £1.1 million investment to refit 11 of our gyms across the region, Cupar Leisure Centre is the welcoming customers to its new-look gym. Now, locals have a wide range of high-quality facilities and a host of affordable opportunities to get active.
As a charitable trust, with consistent growth in attendances since our launch in 2008, we see investing in industry-leading equipment as key to delivering on our commitment to improving customer experience.
Gym manager for Fife Sports and Leisure Trust, Stuart Bizzarri, explains the strategy behind the layout and choice of equipment in the gym at Cupar Leisure Centre: “The gym has undergone a gym upgrade, with new equipment installed based on customer feedback and the latest industry research on the most effective equipment to get the most out of your time in the gym.
“The gym has been upgraded with new cardiovascular equipment including Technogym’s Climb machine and Run 600 Treadmills with Technogym’s Speed Shift’ function moving seamlessly between a fast and slow pace to supercharge interval sessions. And, with Technogym Unity Platform offering a tablet-based screen interface, it’s easy to navigate the new training options.”
Allan Reid, area leisure manager for Fife Sports and Leisure Trust, said: “The quality and choice available to the local community is fantastic and we are very proud to not only have the best equipment on offer, but also qualified leisure staff to help gym-goers get the best out of their workout.
“As a charitable trust, we are grateful to those who choose to use our centres – it means we can invest back into our facilities and ultimately provide affordable access to the health and wellbeing benefits of physical activity for local communities.
“We are very pleased with the new gym and the extremely positive reaction it’s already having with our customers – it’s very rewarding for all of us.”
