Fife Sports and Leisure Trust Finalist for Learn to Swim Service Provider of the Year Award
We are proud to announce that we have been named a finalist for the Scottish Water Learn to Swim Service Provider of the Year Award. This recognition is a testament to our dedication to delivering excellent swimming instruction to over 8,000 individuals every week.
Scottish Swimming’s National Learn to Swim framework in partnership with Scottish Water seeks to help children become safe and competent swimmers by developing a consistent structure and set of quality standards for lesson providers across Scotland. It provides the foundation for a pathway of opportunities for everyone to participate in any aquatic sport they choose, at whatever level they aspire to. Since its beginning, this initiative has helped over 100,000 children develop crucial swimming skills and build confidence in the water.
Lee Cunningham, Activities Manager at Fife Sports and Leisure Trust, said: “We’re thrilled to be once again finalists for the Scottish Water Learn to Swim Service Provider of the Year Award. This recognition highlights our unwavering commitment to provide fun, safe, and inclusive swimming lessons across Fife. Our exceptional swimming instructors play a pivotal role in this achievement. I extend my heartfelt appreciation to them for their passion and commitment to the programme and the children they support.”
The results will be unveiled at the Scottish Swimming Awards ceremony, scheduled to take place on Saturday, 23rd September, in Glasgow. The winning Learn to Swim provider will be presented with the award and will receive a 90-minute Learn to Swim session with Duncan Scott MBE, the most successful British Olympian, World Champion and Scottish Swimming Learn to Swim Ambassador. In addition, the winner will be granted an education voucher valued at up to £1000.
