Privacy Notice – FSLT / Technogym ‘MyWellness’ App
 

Who we are

Fife Sports and Leisure Trust is the organisation responsible for providing sports, leisure facilities and activities across Fife. Fife Sport and Leisure Trust are registered as a data controller with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). Our registration number is Z1434913. As the data controller of the personal information we collect from you, we are responsible for how we collect, store and use your personal information.  It means we have to comply with data protection laws, i.e. The Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA2018) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

 

‘MyWellness’ App by Technogym

Fife Sports and Leisure Trust have entered into a partnership with Technogym and the use of their ‘MyWellness’ app. The application platform is provided by Technogym and used under licence by FSLT. When an account is created, your personal data will be stored on the platform based in the EEA (Italy) and accessed via cloud services. Dependent upon your choices within the app, some information will be retained solely by Technogym and other information will be available to relevant and appropriate staff and personnel within Fife Sports and Leisure Trust.

Why will we collect this information?

The purpose(s) for processing your personal data is to encourage health and wellbeing, promote sports and leisure, ensure we have a record of attendees and participants, proof of use of equipment and facilities, monitor progress, assist with personalised training plans, potentially offer similar courses or programmes we feel are of interest to you, alert you of relevant special offers and/or discounts and can contact parents or guardians, if required (junior members only).

 

What data will we collect?

Dependent upon your use of the app, we may collect:

 

  • your Forename and Surname
  • your Date of Birth
  • your Gender
  • your Email address
  • your Mobile Phone number (optional)
  • your Weight
  • your Height (optional)
  • your Location (if activated within the app)
  • your chosen Facility(ies) of preferred use/attendance
  • your Marketing preferences (if activated within the app)
  • any other information you input directly via the app, i.e. workouts / results etc.

 

What is our lawful basis for collecting this data?

In the case of downloading and use of the app, the lawful basis for processing your data is ‘Consent' as is also the case with your marketing choices. This means we can process your personal information as; “the data subject (app user) has given consent to the processing of his or her personal data for one or more specific purposes”

 

Who will my data be shared with, or who will have access?

As stated above, the app is a partnership between Technogym and FSLT. Accordingly, various personal data will be shared between both parties (subject to the permissions you grant within the app). Data will be hosted within the EEA (UK, Italy). FSLT will not share your data with any other parties unless there is a legal obligation upon us to do so. We will not onward sell your data to 3rd party marketeers.

 

How long will we retain the data?

Your personal data will be retained within the app and you retain control for amending, updating and/or deleting the information. In any case, FSLT will keep it for no longer than is necessary and in accordance with our Retention Policy. After which time, your personal data will be disposed of in a safe and secure manner. If there is no activity within the app for a period of 5 years, all data will be anonymised thereafter.

 

Your rights

The law gives you the right to know what information we hold about you and to give you a copy of it if you request it. It also gives some other rights, such as having any incorrect information about you corrected. You also have the right to complain if you feel we have used your personal data inappropriately.
