What is HYROX?
HYROX is a global fitness competition designed for everyday athletes. Combining running with functional fitness exercises, it is fast becoming one of the most popular ways to test your strength, speed, and stamina.
It’s more than just a workout – it’s a community where you push your limits and achieve your personal best. Participants race against the clock across eight fitness stations, with 1km runs between each station, challenging both mental and physical endurance.
Whether you’re an experienced athlete or new to fitness challenges, HYROX offers a unique opportunity to compete in an inclusive, supportive environment. You can take on HYROX solo in the Open or Pro category, share the experience with a teammate in the Doubles Category, or join the Team Relay category by splitting HYROX four ways.

Who can participate in HYROX?
HYROX is the fitness race for everybody. If you are at least 16 years old and want to take on the sporting challenge, you are welcome to HYROX! There are four different race formats to choose from, covering every fitness level. The race has no time limits and no qualification is required to participate. The oldest participant is 77 years old!
What are the different workouts?
HYROX includes a mix of eight 1km runs alternating with eight different workouts. The individual stations are: (1) SkiErg, (2) Sled Push, (3) Sled Pull, (4) Burpee Broad Jumps, (5) Rowing, (6) Farmers Carry, (7) Sandbag Lunges, and (8) Wall Balls.
The running course will lead around the workout stations. Depending on the location, athletes will run multiple laps to complete one kilometre.
Which divisions are available and which is the right one for me?
- Open – Take on the standard HYROX for a challenging but achievable race for everyone.
- Pro – For the experienced racer, heavier weights make for a more challenging experience.
- Doubles – Find a partner and take on the challenge as a pair, running together but splitting the workload of the exercises.
- Relay – Come together with your friends or family and race the relay where each team member does 2 times 1 km and 2 workouts.
