Are there specific clothing and footwear requirements for activities?

Yes, groups must wear appropriate clothing and footwear for their activities, including indoor non-marking soles and suitable outdoor footwear.

What are the guidelines for conduct within the facility?

Users are responsible for any damage beyond reasonable wear and tear. Facilities should be left in good order, and all safety regulations must be observed.

What should we do in case of an emergency evacuation?

Familiarise yourself with the venue’s evacuation procedures and follow directions from venue staff in an emergency.

What is the policy on smoking and alcohol?

Fife Council to Fife Sports and Leisure Trust’s no smoking policy, including e-cigarettes, is enforced in all Council premises. Alcohol is not permitted during bookings.

What are the guidelines for advertising and sales at events?

Discuss advertising and sale of items with venue management early. Sales are restricted if similar items are available at the venue, like in vending machines or cafes.

What are the requirements for using electrical equipment?

Portable electrical equipment must be PAT tested with proof provided in advance. Testing certification is transferable between sites.

What is the protocol for accidents?

Report any incidents to venue staff as soon as possible after the occurrence.

What about security and personal belongings?

Use provided changing facilities and lockers for safekeeping. Venues are not responsible for lost personal belongings.

Are there specific staffing levels for activities?

Yes, bookings are accepted with the agreement to approved staffing levels for specific activities, like lifeguard numbers for swimming events.

How far in advance can bookings be made?

Organisations/clubs can submit applications up to six months in advance, or longer by negotiation.

Are there special considerations for major events?

Major events like championships can be booked a year in advance. Discuss spectator arrangements and risk assessments at least four weeks before the event.

What are the payment and cancellation policies?

Payments must be made in full before the activity. Cancellation charges apply if notice is not given within specified timescales.

What discounts are available for a series of bookings?

A 15% discount is available for a series of 10 or more sessions, subject to specific conditions.
