New season of Junior Coaching at Fife leisure centres
Youngsters are getting the chance to improve their sporting skills at Fife leisure centres.
A new season of Junior Coaching is kicking off across the region on Monday, August 17.
Organisers at Fife Sports and Leisure Trust are encouraging local families to book places and get involved.
“We offer a variety of sports and activities to suit every interest and skill level,” said Lee Cunningham, the charity’s Activities Manager.
“Whether your child is taking their first step into the world of sports or looking to refine their skills, we can help.”
The sessions, delivered across the charitable Trust’s venues, cover a range of sports:
- Athletics
- Basketball
- Cricket
- Dance
- Football
- Gymnastics
- Racquet sports
- Multi-sports
- Martial arts and
- Trampolining
You can find more details on the sessions and the venues hosting them at www.fifeleisure.org.uk/junior-coaching
Lee said: “Our Junior Coaching sessions costs just £20 per month. They provide coach-led lessons throughout school term time, alongside a range of extra money-saving benefits for members. The sessions offer excellent value for families.
“For instance, you get a 20 per cent discount on the cost of our dry side holiday camps, plus priority booking for holiday camps.
“We also provide entry into quarterly prize draws, and a free taster session each month in another coaching activity, subject to availability.
“We also offer all our junior coaching members with free recreational racquet sports and football during weekends and school holidays.”
Fife Sports and Leisure Trust previously took cash and card payments at venues to cover the cost of the junior coaching sessions, but has moved to direct debit payments for these activities.
Lee said: “Parents paying by direct debit provides them with an affordable monthly payment, compared to making large block instalment payments at venues up-front. It also saves them the hassle of turning up at venues to sort out payments.”
She added: “Introducing Direct Debit allows us to simplify the payment process, reduce the need for manual payments, and ensure the programme continues to run smoothly and efficiently.”
