Summer of Sport 2026

Summer of Sport 2026 is a national initiative supported by the Scottish Government and sportscotland, creating more opportunities for children and young people aged 3-26 to get active, stay active, and experience the benefits of sport and physical activity.

Alongside a packed programme of free or low-cost summer activities, the investment is designed to create a lasting legacy by strengthening pathways into school, club, and community sport through to March 2027 and beyond.

What Summer of Sport Means for Fife

Fife Sports and Leisure Trust is proud to be part of Summer of Sport 2026, helping to bring more opportunities for children and young people across Fife.

This summer, we’re working with Fife Council and local organisations to deliver a range of activities designed to make sport and physical activity more accessible, inclusive and affordable for young people of all backgrounds and abilities.

From holiday activity camps and swimming opportunities to community programmes, events, and taster sessions, there will be plenty of ways for children and young people to get involved throughout the summer.

A message from our Activities Manager

“We are delighted to be part of Summer of Sport 2026 and to play our part in helping more children and young people across Fife access sport and physical activity.
Through Summer of Sport, we’re looking forward to creating more opportunities for young people across Fife to build confidence, develop new skills and experience the many physical, mental, and social benefits that being active can bring.”

Lee Cunningham, Activities Manager Fife Sports and Leisure Trust
